What is a PhotoDay session?
These sessions are held for all age ages at various specific outdoor locations, such parks, fields, urban settings, etc. The sessions are 30 minutes in length and are great for families with or without children. This is not a session recommended for newborns, but if you have a new addition we would love to schedule a regular session at a location of your choice.

What is the cost of a PhotoDay session?
The cost of a PhotoDay session is $295 and includes up to 10 people. Extras will be charged $25 per person. $50 is required to reserve your spot, and the balance is due at the time of the shoot. Payments can be made online by Paypal, by check through the mail or you can call our studio to pay with a credit card over the phone. 888-316-4142 We accept Visa and Mastercard, or if you pay via PayPal you may use American Express or Discover.

How does a PhotoDay session differ from a regular session?
Regular photo sessions are an hour or more in length and at the location of your choice. PhotoDay sessions are conducted at a specific location picked by us and are limited to 30 mins. each.

How do I sign up for a PhotoDay session?
The fastest way to reserve your spot is by emailing info@joeljordan.com Let us know what day you would like to sign-up for and we will tell you how to reserve your spot.

What if it rains or the weather is bad on the day of our mini session?
In case of inclement weather, PhotoDay sessions will be rescheduled. If we are unable to reschedule a session, your deposit will be refunded. If you have any questions about weather, please call to confirm.

What do I wear?
Group Portraits are about drawing attention to the collective group, not one single individual. The best way to accomplish this is by matching. Below are our suggestions for great group portraits, if you have questions we are happy to help.

PhotoDays Sessions are outdoors so casual to semi-casual dress tends to look the most natural with the outdoor backdrops. Solid colors, dark colors, and long sleaves are always a good choice. Be wary of certain patterns, such as plaids and narrow pinstrips as these can often cause a strobbing effect on the image.

Jeans: if wearing jeans, try to have coordinate similar jean tones. When everyone is wearing dark denim and one person is wearing light denim, is stands out just like a white shirt would among a group of black

For Kids:
Please make sure your child has had a nap and has been fed prior to the session. You will get much better expressions in the photos if they are not cranky. Sometimes, naturally, they do get a little fussy, and it's a good idea to bring something that will make the child happy if that happens- such as a snack, teddy bear, toy, etc.

After the session:

How do I view and purchase my photos?
In addition to the High Resolution images on disk, you will be given a password to view your online gallery. Your images are usually ready for viewing 5-7 days after the session. In this gallery, you will be able to view and purchase any photos you desire. If you prefer, you may place your order via email or phone also.

If I have a disk of images, why would I purchase prints from Joel Jordan Photography?
We provide the online gallery as a courtesy. Sometimes, it is easier to direct friends and family to an online gallery than to make multiple copies of your disk and mail them out. Also, we recommend you come back to us if you are looking to have anything larger than an 8x10 printed. Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and other non-professional or smaller labs often produce varied results. We want you to have the very best prints available with proper color balancing and finishes.

How many images will I get?
Generally there will be 20 to 40 images per thirty minute PhotoDay session. Numbers may vary as each session is different.

Will I also get the copyrights to my images?
YES. You receive a disk of your photos with the copyrights. All for only $295
